Campus Beautification Day
Campus Beautification Day is an extremely popular annual tradition at the UM, thanks to the hard work and contributions of the volunteers who take the time out of their busy schedules to help spruce up the Fort Garry and Bannatyne campuses. Staff and students are encouraged to come out and have fun with their co-workers and other community members.

Rooted in community
Annual event
Campus beautification day is a cherished annual tradition at UM that brings together staff, students, faculty and local community members. The two days of festivities provide an opportunity to step outside, build community with co-workers, students, and the broader community, and take pride in enhancing the campus green spaces together.
Campus beautification day is a community gathering featuring gardening activities, music, and a free lunch at both main campus locations: Fort Gary campus and the downtown Bannatyne campus. The entire university community is invited to join in the planting, connect with co-workers and community members, and get some natural vitamin D and fresh air.
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: Day of event registration stations open at each location; please check in for attendance, receive a lunch ticket, pick your t-shirt, and enjoy morning refreshments before the students and staff begin the day. We will have a limited number of tools and gloves available at the registration table, so bring your own along with a refillable water/coffee cup.
12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. : A free barbecue lunch, and everyone is encouraged to attend.
